During our seed round in 2020, an investor laughed when I was pitching, called Gamma "the worst idea I've ever heard," and hung up mid-call. We've now raised at a $2.1bn valuation. This is the story and every fundraising lesson I learned:

just did our biggest launch of the year: compass is free for everyone. compass connects your data warehouse to slack. a few things: 1. barely any webapp. just slack 2. we built a react-style reconciler targeting slack messages to get a super interactive user experience.

Just use Dagster + dbt core and you should be fine. You aren’t building anything crazy that justifies more than that.
