Hard to believe this is still so prevalent, but I've seen it first hand at multiple companies. They are cutting off their possibilities when running a business this way.
Leaders should always listen, not only to learn something new but also to be challenged. If a leader desires to be listened to, then they should give others the courtesy of listening to them. Leaders who listen become better informed and are more popular with their team members
