A British court imprisoned 18-year-old Martyna Ogonowska for life for stabbing her rapist in self-defense. The court didn’t care that she was acting in self defense and that she had been raped before. The court later denied her appeal to reduce her sentence from 17 years to 12.

The UK has over 70,000 rapes recorded a year now - and almost none of them end in conviction. And when a woman finally fights back - when she stabs the man sexually assaulting her - SHE gets 17 years in prison. To be a woman is to know fear and rage.
