I have two subscriptions: - $100/m Claude Code - $20/m Codex Both are very useful. CC I use as a main driver. I usually have 3-4 terminals open and I'm making sure they all working hard for me ๐. I use Codex if CC is struggling or for bigger audits. Codex takes forever to

it's not about simplicity, it's about the distribution: > this app is old, so it has a lot of organic traffic through ASO, accumulated over the years > it's #1 for the countdown keyword and has a perfect name > $30k rev with 300k downloads is actually not that good, the LTV
Canโt lie, this still blows my mind. 300k downloads, $30k last month for whatโs basically a 2-page countdown app. Simplicity really is underrated. #buildinpublic #indiedev #appstore

Here is a countdown app that makes $30k MRR (est) and has 300k downloads monthly

So they were right after all. Indeed, I no longer write any code. It's just English.

I ran out of usage for Claude Code till 7 PM, so I switched to Codex. And oh my, it takes 20 minutes to update view component ๐
I think it's great for more complex tasks, but for basic stuff it's too much.

This post made me check my stats: iOS makes 59% of my revenue, Android 41%. iOS wins, but still I wouldn't resign from Android
@alpennec @NicolasPapegaey @ChrisKruegerDev @filippkowalski Oh... Who cares about Android anyway? ๐

Yup, we had that issue, and when we went viral on one country, our competitor benefited a lot. We pushed them by many positions in the chart ranking. They didn't have our direct name in the title, but at that time, they were higher than us for the search results for that
people underestimate the name they pick for their app sounds fugazi, but those first 10,000 downloads are actually the hardest to acquire if you just pick some random dumbass name that's extremely common you are never going to rank and make your liftoff period that much harder

Took me a while to get to that point, but I agree with Ivan
Solo builders ngmi. The biggest mistake every solo builder makes is trying to build products alone. And Iโm not just talking about co-founders. No โ hire agencies, freelancers, even full-time employees. One person can cover everything, but only mediocrely. So donโt be

As a bonus, I'm instilling good habits in my kids while they're young
I didn't expect to enjoy my home gym so much I had to set up my own because there is no gym nearby, and I didn't want to spend time driving 20 minutes to get to the closest one I always thought that having one at home would be a distraction, and it's actually nice to leave home

I've talked with many founders and based on my subjective dataset, I can tell that negative ones are ngmi. I see them often being jealous of someone that's successful on X, complaining regularly etc. Their apps/products never really took off and they're not progressing.

Maybe dumb, maybe not, but I started to run an A/B experiment for the Android app where the lifetime offer is $10 vs $50. So far the results are... interesting let's see
