we're not the ones making the calls. listen, bring up the outreach project idea with your supervisor. find the ones making the calls and educate them.

Alright, calm down. Just because I said SDN should stop making pranks calls doesn't mean I won't show up. I still get worried that it's a real fire and that people might get hurt.
so then act like it. we get "pointless" calls all the time. Do i still dispatch people? Yes. you'll get false reports. so, either start an education program that reaches the demographic making the fake calls, or keep showing up.

Every call matters to me too. If it didn't, I wouldn't be showing up to this building every day thinking there's a fire.
it's not a problem for me though. I take my job seriously. Every call matters because it could be someone's last.

I perfectly understand that, Miss Blazer. I think more specifically, it's about me getting called to SDN and then having to go back because there was no fire. I think you'd know if the building you work at was on fire.
Yes I can understand that . . It’s a waste of resources if it turns out to be nothing but it’s also a risk if we don’t look into it and it turns out to be a real issue .

..or someone could teach everyone else that calling the fire department as a prank is a felony.
consider it a break then. one day it's going to be an actual fire. I've seen too many people die because a 911 dispatcher thought a call for help was a prank.

we treat every call as if it's a real call, because one day, that "prank call" won't be a prank.
