A recent study reports participants who consume low levels of sulphur amino acids (15kg-24kg a day) have significantly lower levels of cholesterol, glucose and insulin β and lower overall risk of cardiometabolic diseases.
People who eat higher amounts of sulphur amino acids β found more commonly in meat β were at increased risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and non-alcohol fatty liver disease.
