Some quite heavy rain is moving eastwards across Southern England about an hour from London!

I left the Obs this morning with a short walk in mind and ended with my best encounter with a Hen Harrier! First saw it offshore, coming in-off overhead and inland. It settled in the asparagus fields, hawking so low it wasn't viewable until it popped out just a few metres away

Fantastic morning up the cliffs. Picked up a Pallid swift first thing over eastern docks Dover harbour for 5-10 mins before moving NE then a point blank Pallas’s warbler in Langdon hole . Edited pics on the blog later https://t.co/iWTH3YfOXD
