Last year I got tired of using three different things to read my mail, so I pooled them together into a pretty cool, keyboard-driven terminal client. Here's my comprehensive guide to a very customisable email setup. https://t.co/IXs7qUg5qi

@USATODAY launched a lightweight version of their site for the EU to comply with #GDPR. The US site is 5.5MB and contains 835 requests loaded from 188 hosts. When loaded from France it's 297KB, 36 requests and contains no 3rd party content. And it's a lot faster! #perfmatters

bibtexcite.vim, my pet project for handling citations in vim just had it's first issue closed and got an update to not only insert and view citations, but also to open corresponding pdfs. Pretty nice workflow with @zotero #vim #biblatex

Our results show that vocal harshness and the occurrence of irregularities (non-linear phenomena, #NLP) are associated with arousal in contact calls, and thus might function as stress indicators in #dogs. @famdogproject https://t.co/lEiPewCror

The commandline is awesome. It can make a ton of things easier and is also a kind of geekish fun to it. Also great if you rather type than click. #AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter @AcademicChatter

Writing a grant proposal is super tiring, and has many irritating parts. On the flip side it really does force you to stop and think things through, instead of just blindly going forward to the next thing. #AcademicTwitter #AcademicChatter

Vocal emotion expressions provide a way for animals to communicate their inner states from a distance and make it possible for listeners to react adaptively. But how these inner states map on the acoustic parameters of the calls in different species? #AnimBehav2021

Cooperative and independent working dogs were evaluated in an attachment test and found to be similar. Capacity for attachment probably preceded functional breed selection. #CanineScience @FamDogProject https://t.co/n6RbrZO2UZ

Rapid object-name learning is possible for dogs, although memory consolidation may require more exposure. Rapid learning probably presupposes learning in a social context because typical dogs do not learn objects' names. @famdogproj #CanineScience
