On this Day of the African Child, we recognize the critical need to integrate children's digital rights into national planning and budgeting. As children engage in digital spaces for education and entertainment,our policies and budgets must reflect this new reality.

Engaging in conversations like these allows us to contribute our expertise, learn from others, and collectively work toward solutions that protect rights of women in digital spaces. We are grateful to the organizers and fellow panelists for driving this dialogue forward.

This case raises significant issues regarding data protection, particularly the application of Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act to foreign entities. It therefore serves as reminder for other multinational companies about the importance of complying with local laws.
