Israel-Hamas war creates ‘really fraught times’ at Minnesota colleges

I took a buyout at the LA Times a few weeks ago. It was a wild five-year ride, and I'm going to miss working with the LAT's incredible journalists (and the @latguild crew ✊) I've got some projects in the works, but freelance assignments and job leads appreciated!

I asked @MayorFrey twice about the alternatives, asking why he wasn't willing to give them a chance to succeed. He disagreed with my premise. "We'd love to have them," he said, but the idea newcomers can serve the Twin Cities at scale in realistic timeframe is "magical thinking"
