Wealth inequality is something else!. In a new @ASR_Journal paper, @nora_wait and I document large international differences in wealth inequality & assess what's driving them. It's just one step in what should be a fruitful strand of comparative research. Here's what we find /1

Great point! In grad school I briefly thought "writing every day" = "words on paper every day", which was a big source of frustration!. At least for quant. work, I find it more helpful to allocate "project time" to work on whichever step of the process that needs attention /1.
When people say "write every day," do they really write every day? Of the time I spend working on a given article, less than 10% is writing. The rest of the time is reading, data cleaning, analysis, and editing/revising.
