Imagine a return to engines that detonate a millimetre over the redline and an incentivised trade-off between engineering the sweat and blood out of a V10 and creating an IED that can pull 5Gs in the corners. Sadly, climate change exists. I accept efficiency and mourn excess.
Itโs a lot easier to score points today than previously under the system that required top 6 or 8. If we looked at the drivers back then based on their ability to finish in the top 10 as opposed to the points they actually scored, would we see them as better than we remember?
