No survivor of domestic abuse should ever be prevented from accessing the support + protection they need because of their status. Victims should be treated as victims, first + foremost You can read my full statement here: https://t.co/Jm9YaCFS1x 3/3

We are campaigning for the Victims & Prisoners Bill to extend the Destitute DV Concession/DVILR to cover all migrant victims experiencing gendered violence. This would guarantee that victims with NRPF are no longer left facing destitution when trying to access safety & protection

Due to the discriminatory and hostile No Recourse to Public Funds (#NRPF) policy, many #women are vulnerable to further exploitation and can be locked in dangerous situations or be driven back to abusive relationships. (1/2) 🎬 https://t.co/XQF8jXKj2p Info: https://t.co/qp9oJFFnOr
