Everyone knows you can't build a rocket without @McMasterCarr. But can you build a rocket from *only* the McMaster catalog? Challenge is live. $1100 prize purse at the moment. https://t.co/ezquettk3E

The Pentagon’s actions are clear retaliation for something Sen. Kelly is entirely within his rights to say. America’s servicemembers already take an oath to uphold the Constitution, which includes not following illegal orders. The argument that the video’s message is sedition, or

Gemini 3 reads its own review and, as per the review, treats it as likely 'future fiction' because I mean 'cmon it's not November 2025.

SpaceX’s founding story is 2002 Elon calculating all the commodity prices of the steel, carbon fibre, propellant, etc for building a rocket and realising they only made up 2% of the price. He noticed the capacity for 50x cost savings and went on to realise them. I’ve ran similar
Britain needs nuclear power. Our nuclear projects are the most expensive in the world and among the slowest. Regulators and industry are paralysed by risk aversion. This can change. For Britain to prosper, it must. Earlier this year, the Prime Minister appointed me to lead a

I'd always wondered how much the mad fish protection stuff at Hinkley Point C cost – turns out it's £700 million.

Fresh air is a no brainer and not that expensive thing for society to fix, and companies should be doing it just for the positive returns it has on productivity. Any smart COO/HR person should own an Aranet4 CO2 monitor.
We need the equivalent of the 20th-century clean water revolution, except for clean indoor air. People with post-infectious chronic illnesses have known for a while how insane it is that, as a society, we continue to find it perfectly acceptable to breathe air full of viruses

AI2027 is more falsifiable than basically anything else predicting AI. This is good. But i’ll criticise them because my personal view is to think wrong forecasts are bad, even from the only people careful enough to do it. That’s just my actual view.

I asked Gemini how it would define AI slop, got a slop answer. I told it to give me a memory that would stop it from giving me more slop answers, it did. I asked again and got a non-slop answer. Still incomplete, needs a likelihood ratio factor I think?
Has anyone encountered a good definition of “slop”. In a quantitative, measurable sense. My brain has an intuitive “slop index” I can ~reliably estimate, but I’m not sure how to define it. I have some bad ideas that involve the use of LLM miniseries and thinking token budgets.

Gebru accused me of "gaslighting" residents of Memphis because another commenter had said their total utility bills (electric + water + solid waste) had gone up, and I denied this was due to the data center. I was immediately blocked after so I couldn't reply. Do want to just
