πŸš€ Starting something Quite Fun: I’m launching an Applied Math + C++ learning series from Oct 2025 β†’ Mar 2026. I’ll be solving problems in public : code, mistakes, lessons. Follow along if you’re into HPC, math, C++, Python, or Rust πŸ§΅πŸ‘‡ #MathInCpp #AppliedMathsSeries

Started of with exponetial function in Allans book. the book writes e β‰ˆ 2 + οΏ½οΏ½ (1/k!), k=2..N (same as the usual Standard: e β‰ˆ Ξ£ (1/k!), k=0..N. since 1/0! + 1/1! = 2 ). My C++ code implements the finite sum with the book wishes . Thoughts? #AppliedMath #cpp

It's expected that before coding you specify the problem clearly and design solutions before delving(sorry Paul) into code. What Unite programmers of all levels(including vibecoders)is that we all skip the first 2 levels most of the times 😁.

I don't vibe code, but I do treat Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT as a decent way for people to quickly get a) a first draft b) a second opinion and c) a review on something they're working on.

I think the amount of time programmers spend on debugging should be a metric to determine how good you are and how far you've grown . Its become even more evident in this era of Vibecoding.

Every problem will be solved in C++ (even when it’s not the β€œbest” language for the problem). When possible, I’ll also try Python & Rust versions to compare. Core C++ resource is learncpp. Com.

Why? β†’ To learn applied mathematics deeply while coding every problem. Why public? β†’ To stay accountable + maybe help others learning the same path. And Why Not.
