5. PRE-WRITE YOUR WRITE UP. Writing about an event afterwards sucks. Why not start writing an outline now with references when you're excited? It will give you an excuse to read through the actual talk abstracts.

4. BE ACTIVE IN THE DISCORD SERVER. Make it easier for people to remember you by participating in discussions online. There are hundreds of people already there. It's pretty easy to find. Open up the Rust Forge website and there's a button right there. Look for the word

(You're much more likely to have a fun conversation at a bar later on if someone remembers something informative/funny/interesting that you said online).

3. TELL PEOPLE THAT YOU’RE COMING. Tell the world that you’re coming on social media and tag others. This will spark conversations and make positive outcomes more likely.

p.s. why not send a note to 5 senior staff technical from potential employers asking what it's like to work there? (They're easy to find on LinkedIn).

2. ASK PEOPLE IF THEY ARE COMING. Email 3 people to ask if they're coming. Because it's a numbers game, you may as well try 30. If there’s someone you want to talk to, then send them a note to arrange a time to chat at the event. Even if they’re not coming - it’s a good way to.
