I have no idea to be honest what it means for the contest or for the vote next month, today I am not interested in that. There are things a million times more important:

If this is true (and Israeli media did report that KAN was also not consulted), the EBU executive board made a decision to force this to a vote on a report halfway through the consultation? Oh wow.

Scratch that! UEFA are holding off to see the outcome of the current round of ceasefire negotiations.
Small update - UEFA's executive committee is expected to vote this week on whether to remove Israel from all European football competitions EXCEPT World Cup qualifying. This is to avoid conflict with the global governing body FIFA and 2026 hosts the USA

🇩🇰 Danish broadcaster DR will not vote for Israel to be excluded from #Eurovision. According to DR's culture, debate and music editor Gustav Lützhøft, "we will not vote for any EBU member to be expelled from the competition as long as they comply with the rules and regulations".
