Before AI and vibe coding, that used to be half of the X "startup" community. Now it shifted to everyone building while also talking about "getting customers" and "marketing" but hardly anyone actually does. Most are too busy faking their success to show off to others.

Moving from the 'For you' tab back to the 'Following' tab for the next few weeks. Unbelievable stream of engagement farming slop. Feeling very disconnected from 90%+ stuff on my timeline again. It's a big blur of bragging and 'hot' takes. Nobody is helping each other anymore.

I've been cancelled for saying this before. But I'll do it again: don't say you make x money as a way to appear credible when selling a course, boilerplate etc for others to do the same. That being said, Marc builds DataFast these days, which is a legit SaaS. So fair 'nuff.
No shade to Marc but I looked through all of his businesses and seems like he makes most of his money selling a dream to indie hackers and NGMIs in buildinpublic. Selling shovels instead of mining gold.

Everytime someone says Gemini is amazing, I try it.. and it completely breaks. This time, I tried to ask for an infographic based on a simple PDF, enabled image generation, and it literally gave me 500 errors. Srsly why how can people hype up something that doesn't work.
