Same! There is a hidden gift in not matching -> prelim year -> repeat intern year… I just didn’t realize it that way until much, much later. #Match2025
Every year at this time, I am reminded of 26 years ago when I was informed I did not match. I took a prelim year, switched specialties, and matched the next year (as a PGY-1 *again*). Now in my 19th year of level 1 trauma. Remember, there is more than one way to do things.
