Great example of an immediate obvious benefit of AI. Doctors using AI scribes experience dramatically less burnout. In every field, a substantial part of our job is to do tasks that are necessary but unenjoyable. AI will largely eradicate this.
The obsession with AI transformation obscures the fact that there are a ton of small, but positive and very meaningful, use cases across many fields. In this case, AI note-taking significantly reduces burnout among doctors & increases their ability to focus on their patients.

Vibe Coding Day 9, Yesterday was biggest roller coaster yet. I got out of bed early, excited to get back @Replit despite it constantly ignoring code freezes By end of day, we rewrote core pages and made them much better And then -- it deleted our production database. 🧵

Can’t believe I did my very first 500 level session today - this is the first time AWS has ever offered them, so it was a huge honor! Thank you so much to Yi Fan, Jiayun Zhang and Junshen Xu for publishing your research and speaking with me today! #AWSreInforce @AWSEvents

what a privilege it was to know @atulbutte. they say never meet your heroes, but Atul was the exception. i’ve relentlessly followed his path: first eight years at Brown, now at Boston Children’s. he was there every step of the way. his work shaped how I think about computation

Very sad to hear about the passing of @atulbutte. We traded many messages over the years about all sorts of topics. He was smart, kind, and cared deeply about making health care better. He will be missed.

There are few in this world who were such forces for good as @atulbutte. His dazzling intellect, relentless curiosity, generosity of spirit, boundless charisma, and infinite optimism left a mark on everything he touched and everyone lucky enough to know him. An enormous loss.

Saddened to hear the loss of our brother @atulbutte. He inspired many to join in his call to realize the full benefits of open health data. He was a dear friend I could call upon to serve as an early adopter, to share feedback on my often crazy ideas :). We love you, bhaiyya💔🙏🏼

in a true example of the juxtaposition of healthcare, a recent JAMA study highlights that patients prefer messages written by AI, but they like them less if they’re told that AI wrote them.

Highly recommend reading @chrissyfarr’s take on what this means for digital health
I wrote about why the Hinge IPO is such a big deal right now for our industry — and why its performance sets the tone for everyone else in adjacent categories (no pressure 😀!) https://t.co/Y2N5nTFpRn

Jevons paradox strikes again! As AI gets more efficient and accessible, we will see its use skyrocket, turning it into a commodity we just can't get enough of.

biggest takeaway from JPM: the gap between what we can do technically/scientifically/clinically in healthcare and what we will pay for/can sustain economically has never been wider. we need more efforts to narrow this gap through business model and incentive redesign

I've been playing with a new tool that pairs LLMs with data sources in an Agentic data access pattern called PromptQL from @HasuraHQ. It's a very interesting way to explore and utilize your data, and not just by your data science folks!

AI-generated content is going to read like AI-generated content. I’d rather read something rough written by a human than the most polished, professional thing written by an AI. Don’t do it.

Our Director of Policy, @casey_korba, shares her team's insights on the final Physician Fee Schedule for 2025. Recently released by @cmsgov, it includes positive changes for the #MSSP and will once again require Congress to address physician payment cuts. https://t.co/JoXvozQIsr
