Not true. The part of the brain that handles visual perception and information sending would still be functioning. Your brain would assume you are “seeing” darkness because there’s no stimulus input. Just because the organ is gone doesn’t mean the function is. Not how brains…

It clearly and repeatedly says “self report” words have meaning, especially in scientific research. Self reported data is not hard concrete anything. It just says that these people are here said so and so. People on the other side could say something completely different.
