The changes that have been made in recent months seek to destroy the very values that underpin scholarship and critical inquiry. As editors of EPE, we do not believe it is possible to stay true to the mission of EPE if we continue to give legitimacy to X by posting on it.

Unfortunately, X (formerly Twitter) has been transformed by Elon Musk from a platform that, despite some exceptions, mostly allowed for open and free exchange into one that amplifies right-wing extremism, white supremacy, climate denialism, and disinformation of all kinds.
