Which like, isn't the best solution either because it's very yt and takes some learning to get used to, but it's an example of what volunteer-run social media can look like. A good practicing ground for re-assessing our relationships to the digital world.

And we all desperately need to reclaim our technological imagination and rebuild our digital expertise so that our digital communities aren't at the whims of billionaires and aspirational rich folk.

If you're a radical, socialist, anti-capitalist, decolonialist, abolitionist, anti-imperialist, feminist, etc. These are the questions you should be asking as you navigate these digital streets.

How are we going to change the way we relate to each other online so that we can have stable and healthy digital communities? How will we reshape our relationships to technology so that we can practice more digital self-determination?.

How can decentralized technology and corporate ownership co-exist? What are the motives of the bluesky founders and owners? What makes moving to bluesky different from being here?.

Like I get it, it's a hellscape over here, but we can't just hop and skip platforms every decade without assessing why and how these platforms get run into the ground.
