A family handed over a 13th century book to the National Library of Norway. Conservator Chiara Palandri says its pages were made of calfskin parchment & that the cover appears to be hairy sealskin. The strap is thought to have been made from reindeer hide

The decision to 'suspend' all courses in Mod langs from Monday is premature & ill conceived. There are world-leading researchers & teachers in languages at @UniofNottingham who must be given the chance to review the data and offer viable counter proposals. @McLellandNicola
