The decision to 'suspend' all courses in Mod langs from Monday is premature & ill conceived. There are world-leading researchers & teachers in languages at @UniofNottingham who must be given the chance to review the data and offer viable counter proposals. @McLellandNicola

We all know the difficulty the HE sector is in. But let’s work together to come up with solutions. The nuclear option damages our students & the reputation of our institutions. @UCFLangs and @ArtsandHums are supporting colleagues

You can't do global humanities without languages, and we should all already know this. As chair of @EnglishAssoc l stand with Modern Languages colleagues. Well done @emmacayley and colleagues.
Please help support our colleagues in languages at Cardiff by challenging the decision to exclude them from the category of ‘global humanities’ @UCFLangs @ArtsandHums @WendyBennett21
