💡 DazzleCon DC Spotlight: Groups like Beloved Community Incubator (BCI) carry on DC's solidarity economy legacy by supports coops led by poor and working class BIPOC folx. As #DazzleCon23 approaches, let's learn from orgs continuing to build more mutualistic economics in DC.

As we approach #DazzleCon23, we're appreciating the long history of solidarity-based social enterprises started in DC, often by BIPOC folx working for economic freedom, like the MLK Coop Store in 1970, our nation's first food coop in public housing.
