On top of this, at some point during the day, the power of unit 4 was reduced to make space for Wind power (it was a windy afternoon). Who said nuclear couldn’t be combined with renewables because it was too inflexible? 🫣🤷‍♂️

Today Cattenom producing ~5100MW of power, that’s more than half of the total demand for electricity in the entire country of Belgium 🇧🇪 and more than 5 times that of Luxembourg 🇱🇺 !!!!. This is literally a cathedral of Clean Power Gerneration!

Today: I went on a special tour of the #CattenomNPP near the Moselle in France!. 🚄We went by train to Luxembourg, and were very kindly driven to Cattenom for our plant tour. Feeling 1300MW just a few meters away was a one of kind experience!!.(enough to power the whole of 🇱🇺)
