Finally back from my Antarctic fieldwork adventure, a magical time with lots of snow and glacier algae samples on their way back for me to process! Was hard to leave Signy island, will hopefully get the chance to go back down south one day ๐ฆญ๐ฆ๐ถ. #fieldworkfriday #antarctica

PhD student Emily Broadwell has voyaged to one of the most remote locations on Earth โ๏ธ๐๏ธ. It took Emily two weeks to reach Signy Island, which is 370 miles from the Antarctic peninsula and 800 miles from the Falkland Islands ๐ง. ๐ข
