โMy friend has that, and sheโs fineโ Disability and chronic illnesses are on a spectrum. Something that completely disabled one person could only slightly inconvenience others. Some people are worse than others, and thatโs okay. Assuming weโre all the same isnโt.

There are literally no positives that come with taking support away from disabled people, making their lives harder, etc. None. Zero. It doesnโt make anyone better off. It harms the economy. It harms all disabled people. Itโs reprehensible.

Disabled people need healthcare, housing, food & social supports. This shouldnโt be controversial. They shouldnโt have to beg, grovel and โprove their worthโ. They shouldnโt left to die. We are not expendable.

Disability is not a โluxuryโ Itโs not a vacation. Itโs not a choice. It can (and does) happen to anyone, and most are shocked to discover how little support there is and how difficult an existence it can be. We need and deserve compassion & better social supports.
