Huge development in Narrabri Gas Project: the Federal Court yesterday ruled the NNTT did not adequately take projected increase in greenhouse gas emissions into account when determining Santos' project could go ahead. Gomeroi appeal allowed. Judgment here:
NEW: The National Native Title Tribunal has determined the Narrabri Gas Project can go ahead, subject to a condition. It rejected the Gomeroi applicant's novel argument that the project would exacerbate climate change + is therefore not in public interest.
