George was a brilliant mathematician who completed postdoctoral work at Harvard. His PhD was on Riemann surfaces - complex concepts whose simplest explanations I still don't understand. His mind was everything to him. With dementia, he didn't know the year or where he lived.

The Air India plane that crashed Thursday was flown daily and went all over the globe - in the past week alone it had gone to Delhi, Paris, Tokyo, Melbourne and Frankfurt. Its only flights to the U.S. were in September 2024, to Washington D.C.

Update: The Belltown Hellcat (real name: Miles Hudson) was convicted of two counts of reckless driving. The jury deliberated for about two hours, which included them watching the Instagram video of him driving 107 mph in a 25 mph zone in downtown Seattle.
