For the final Chasing Fridays of 2025 I wrote about: -Why Alex G's 'Headlights' is the first letdown he's released since 2014 -Audrey Hobert's strange allure -New ones from Touching Ice, Sadness, and Boy Wonders. Plus, a Q&A with Peter Katz of Peaer. https://t.co/mCszUFjbZN

Reckoning with my GOAT letting me down, finding a new pop fave, wading through the underground, and interviewing an indie-rock technician.

Imo if you don't go to local/DIY shows and/or listen to (at least some) music by artists who don't have publicists/labels then I don't really care what you have to say about music and you have bad taste 🤷

Tom Morello's solo music continues to be so bafflingly bad that it makes you entertain the most outlandish, clone-related conspiracy theories. Because how can this possibly be the same guitarist who wrote the "Know Your Enemy" riff?
NEW MUSIC!! “EVERYTHING BURNS” OUT NOW!!! @tmorello. @BEARTOOTHband. Final Fantasy XIV. Everything burns. Link: https://t.co/QLIge9yHrR

this is what i'm talking about when i say dance music needs better blogs. there is so much good music in this, and an indepth status report on the pittsburgh live scene, and an extended column taking a dookie on an industry plant. amazing stuff

The Myspace deathcore revival began as a DIY, hardcore-adjacent resistance to deathcore's lamestream elite. But now, bands like Psycho-Frame and Rev3rent are so popular within deathcore proper that they might become the genre's new elite. My trend report: https://t.co/rKESkTw0sp

Frontline reports from the shoegaze, electro-pop, and deathcore trenches. Plus, nu-gaze both good and terrible, and an interview with the maestro of indie-pop Christmas songs.

Btw I made an official Chasing Sundays IG account. I used to barely use IG for my writing stuff and now half of my readers come from that app. Give it a follow to keep up.

She didn’t get here overnight, and she didn’t get here alone. In Episode 1 of Amplified in partnership with @nationwide, aerospace trailblazer @aishabowe reflects on learning how to dream, participating in our economy, and redefining what's possible.

I'd love to see this thing slide backwards down Rialto and get pulverized by a semi on 28

Watched abt half of this show as a depressed 22 year old, freshly graduated, single asf, working in the kitchen of a gourmet hot dog restaurant. And my shitty life was 100x better than this absolute dogshit show. Repulsive television. Gave me millennial cringe-induced PTSD.
