Friday thoughts: . Managing a pipeline is sorta like building a startup: less chaos, more clarity. A few real opportunities > a crowded list of maybes. A pipeline full of ‘maybes’ is like a startup with no focus. I’d take 5 deals with momentum over 50 deals stuck in limbo.

For me, it’s building a startup while navigating a full-time job. My wife’s career + grad school keeps us both busy, + we’re also deeply involved at our church. However for us it’s not juggling. It’s prioritizing. If it doesn’t feed us or give energy back, we don’t let it in.

I didn’t come from a network automation background when I started selling IT 7 yrs ago. What I did bring was availability, attentiveness, and commitment to solving problems. That built trust faster than any ‘perfect’ answer.

Nearly a decade in sales taught me this: people think the best rep is the one with all the answers. The best reps admit when they don’t know and follow up with honesty. Trust > a polished pitch.

I've read some posts from believers taunting non-Christians in the fact that they're going to Hell. As Christians, we shouldn't delight in the damnation of unbelievers; we should mourn over them, and have great compassion for them. Apart from Christ, don't we deserve Hell?.
