Holland is a country laid out flat, until at last it slips into the sea— which, in the end, is Holland. Fish still unensnared, chatting among themselves in Dutch, are certain freedom is a marriage of lace and copperplate. In Holland you cannot climb mountains, die of thirst;

I can’t make my mind to trust that the word “stuffing” is used for something eatable.

I advocate for double unblind from my first submission. Just do this, what is fun to read anonymous non sense? Little bit responsibility never hurts. This not a bug, this a feature, the sign given by god and what ever else.

This is a bad book. If you haven’t read it, don’t read it. If you have, please unread or pretend you didn’t at least.

Why do we need to see chat history? When we talk we don’t need to rehear rolling history of conversation.

Sofia Kovalevskaya wasthe first woman to receive a Ph.D. in mathematics. I recommend this wonderful book for both her life and scientific work by Michèle Audin who recently passsed away. https://t.co/IKTWLTXNf9

DMRG history in that sense was very interesting for me as it starts from iterative diagonalisation -truncation without taking environment in account at all and gradually evolving in current form of MPS sweeping algorithms. I think proofs of mapping class of 1d hamiltonians to mps
“Heuristic” built modern computational physics: Monte Carlo, simulated annealing, DMRG, density functionals, neural networks... Pragmatic approaches that advance our understanding of Nature.

I am looking for internship, EU based or remote (I have work permit for EU). I am interested in efficient computation architectures, deep learning for physical simulations. I know and contributed a bit to bayesian deep learning, tensor networks, MCMC methods, SSM&transformers,

You're in an ML Engineer interview at OpenAI. The interviewer asks: "Our GPT model generates 100 tokens in 42 seconds. How do you make it 5x faster?" You: "I'll optimize the model architecture and use a better GPU." Interview over. Here's what you missed:

Polymer simulations, but make them Vivace ⚡ It was a pleasure to work on Vivace architecture during my time in @MSFTResearch together with Lixin Sun and @gncsimm .
