States & corporations' techno-solutionist promises further the climate crisis, and amplify colonial dynamics of labour and resource extraction. Read this @euobs opinion by @EDRi's @CFerKic and @Green_Europe 's @KatyWieese 👇

Would you upload your biometric data to a central database to save border agents time during travel security checks? The European Commission is asking for feedback on a proposal to digitalise passports - but we raise several big concerns. #EUTravelApp

A report delivered by a High-Level Group “#GoingDark” 🌑 promotes an ideology of maximum police access to data for surveillance purposes. Read our open letter reacting to these flawed EU policy recommendations and our offer for a brighter approach. ☀️.

@magnusbrunner @tudelft 6/8 This law - and the processes around it - have been mired in several scandals uncovered by investigative journalists. 🔥. We still have questions and so does the European Ombudsman:.#ChatControl #Lobbying #Europol.

@magnusbrunner 5/8 EU policy should be based in evidence - the Commission’s own Better Regulation agenda says so. But not only did the Commissioner repeatedly make false claims about her proposal, researchers from @tudelft even called her out for it. Ouch! 🤕.

3/8 Before the Commission formally proposed the #ChatControl legislation, we sought meetings with Commissioner Johansson. We could and would have warned her what a bad idea it is. Unfortunately, she kept rejecting our requests. 🙉.
