Need Atlanta traffic engineers, city lawyers, & elected officials to get out of the way of having beautiful, inviting, safe spaces in all of our neighborhoods. Improvements are not only quick & easy, they do not take long to deliver and stop wasting so much money.

I visited Barcelona in 2021 (left) to see their school streets then returned in 2023 (right) to see their “green axes” and I just realized this is the exact same spot.

Cities thrive when spaces are built with people, not just for them. From plazas to parks, community-centric design creates hubs of culture, connection, and belonging.

As Jane Jacobs said: “Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody.” What’s your favorite social space in your city? 👇 #Placemaking #UrbanDesign #Community 🌿👟

Communities are built by thousands of people doing millions of LITTLE things. Communities are destroyed by one or two people doing BIG things. Great places resist the machine of monoculture.

58% of the world is online. 79% of consumers say user-generated content drives their choices. Cities + developers who aren’t paying attention are missing the next big tenant before they even ask for space.

🌟 My 14-year-old is begging for Raising Cane’s. Closest one? 45 minutes away. So how does he even know this brand—and why do he + his friends want it so badly? ➡️ Social media. ➡️ Social listening.

This is why I believe so strongly in cities. Socialization is like a muscle, and living in a dense, walkable environment is like going to the gym every day.

Imagine living just outside the city in a suburb where, every 20 minutes, a train stops within walking distance or a short drive to your home, moves you across the region and seamlessly linking you to a nationwide rail network. That's what good regional rail can be.
