This is why I turn off virtualization in the BIOS HyperV, Windows Virtualisation Platform, VM based app isolation etc etc etc all get turned on so easily otherwise, making your whole computer essentially a virtual machine and ruining realtime performance and DPC latency

So glad they got @shanselman back for .NET Conf 2025. They missed him out in the 2024, 2023 and 2022 keynotes for some reason. For many he embodies .NET, and opening with a .NET MVC reference was just a chefs kiss moment A real treat for us .NET Boomers

I’m a mega cynical “fine line between love and hate” .NET superfan and even this take is tiring. Full fat VS is never going to be on Linux. Rider / IntelliJ is a fricking Java app, using a Java app to write .NET is bleak VS Code + C# Dev Kit is on Linux. Use that
