The @sciencemuseum has opened a new climate gallery ('Energy Revolution') sponsored by coal producer and human rights abuser @AdaniOnline. Yet again, the museum is legitimising & greenwashing fossil fuel companies, allowing them to present themselves as part of the solution. 2/

🎄Last week's company Christmas event was a blast! We enjoyed the holiday spirit at the Oldenburg Christmas market, sipping on Glühwein. The evening included a delicious dinner to celebrate a successful year filled with company milestones. #CompanyCulture #TeamBuilding

Today I stumbled across a Wikipedia article on the old rod unit. The German version is just mind blowing! 😵‍💫

This afternoon I was taking part in a communication workshop led by @kristinejung1 helping scientists and algae experts to develop a tagline for the new @locality_algae project. An engaging crowd came up with some nice ideas, trying to compress their work in just a few words.

After three years I submitted my PhD thesis today🥳! I stuck to my employment contract and worked only the paid part-time (65%) hours 📜. Would not have been possible without excellent supervision, a well-defined project, fantastic colleagues and support along the way. Thanks🙏!

What's the strangest thing you've ever done in the name of #scicomm? Did you know, @scottishscicomm once sent a Tunnocks Teacake to the edge of space?

In Erfurt, Germany the new Institute for Planetary Health will focus on studying human behaviour to deal with the big social challenges of our times. One key area will be to identify effective #scicomm that will have #impact on people’s behaviour. This fills an important gap. ⤵️

So: how exactly do you put the 'Merry' into the 'Christmas'? 😉Wouldn’t it be great if there was, say, an #equation for it? 😇Oooh, we’re so glad you asked!😁Here’s one of our absolute favourite seasonal tweets: the merry X-ma(th)s equation! 🎄🎅🎉❄️Happy Christmas, everyone!🤗

This graphic helps me wrap my head around the magnitude of the problem. Notice the amount of current biomass for wild mammals (in green) versus that for livestock and humans. No wonder we have converging crises of biodiversity, fresh water, and climate. https://t.co/bca7h18Sbp
