ESCI and Wageningen University are partners in two algae related projects, LOCALITY and @REALMalgae so it was a great opportunity to meet up, interview and film scientists from both. 🥼🧪 Many thanks to Melanie from ESCI for the professional interview recording. 💫

They visited the University’s facilities, including the laboratory, where Luca revealed how a monitoring system is optimising the growth of microalgae in bioreactors. 🧪

Régis Delatouche from @origin_by leads the research and development activities for the development of a sustainable biorefinery concept that can extract multiple ingredients from brown algae and refine them as purified products for food, cosmetics & materials. #LocalityAlgae

Fun fact: since ESCI and Algaia are partners in 2 algae related projects, it was a great opportunity to meet up, interview and film scientists from both, LOCALITY and also our sister project @Algae4IBD.

Marine also gave us insights on the progress of the work and how algal biorefinery is fueling innovation within Algaia. For our project, the work of Algaia focusses on the development of sustainable and eco-friendly solutions for the agricultural sector.
