What a wonderful last day for an amazing man who has given the last 27years of his life to our school. Although he didn’t want a fuss we couldn’t let this legend leave without some sort of celebration. Not a dry eye in the school!

We are absolutely blown away by Aaron in P6 who’s made this fab stop motion clip. After the galaday was cancelled he decided to recreate Armadale Galaday using Lego and then filmed it. How unbelievably creative is this!? Well done 😊🥳
It’s been a very busy and exciting afternoon for, Mr Cowan today. He visited each class where he was presented with a wonderful farewell gift that each class had made. I know he was overwhelmed with all the lovely gifts and kind words.

It’s been a busy few Fridays at Eastertoun as Mrs Witcombe and Mrs Swan both begin their maternity leave. We will miss them lots and can’t wait to meet the new additions 👶🥰 Thanks for all their hard work throughout this year!
We said a very emotional farewell to our wonderful Janitor, Mr Muir who has worked at Eastertoun for 24 years. We will miss him lots but wish him a wonderful and relaxing retirement full of travels ✈️

In what has been a challenging week for everyone our pupils have once again shown amazing resilience and positivity. They have continued to smile, engage and have fun. Our whole school staff have rallied together to prepare and support. We are so proud of everyone, at EPS! 😊

Just the kind of email we like to receive. We have achieved our Reading Schools: Silver accreditation. A huge amount of work from pupils and staff has gone into gaining this accreditation but in particular we need to say a huge thanks to Mrs Swan who has been the driving force!😊
A huge thank you to all our friends and family of Eastertoun who came to our annual Christmas Fayre today! It was a great success and so far the amount raised is £2984 with some money still to come in. We appreciate everyone’s contributions and a special thanks goes to the PSC!
A new experience for our school today. P4/3 live streamed their assembly for all classes to watch through Microsoft teams. P4/3 did a great job and all the classes loved watching them on the smart boards. They wrote lots of positive comments for P4/3 to read too ☺️

We were absolutely blown away by the entries for our Scots Poetry Assembly which we showed today. A huge well done to everyone who learned, performed and submitted their poems. One pupil even used her digital skills to add in backgrounds for each part of the poem 🤩

Today was a sad day at Eastertoun as we waved good bye to our school receptionist, Mrs Muir. Mrs Muir has worked at the school for 22 years and greets all of our visitors with a friendly and welcoming smile. We will miss her very much but wish her all the best in her new role 😊

Wow! An unbelievable £2842.89 was raised at our Christmas Fayre! What an amazing community we have! We could not be more grateful and would like to thank every single person who is involved.
When you don’t have sledges you make do with plastic trays from the school kitchen 🤫! These boys and girls ‘climbed Eastertoun Mount Everest’ and then made their own slide to go down. Great fun ❄️ 🛷 ⛄️😊

I could not be prouder of this girl !! My first pupil EVER to complete all 10 sight word books (that’s 1000 sight words) and she’s only in P2! What a superstar , as you can see every teacher in the school was also impressed and she has lots of stickers to show it😃🌟
