This is the most important part of his entire thread. The opportunity cost on the yield. This will be the next meta.
What’s the catch? Investors are giving up the yield they’d earn if they just parked their capital in DeFi themselves. That yield is what funds Flying Tulip’s initial protocol subsidies. So your “investment” is really the opportunity cost of your capital, not the principal.
