Here is how much people in 43 states are forced to pay to send ONE electronic message to an incarcerated loved one. (Typically, there is a character limit, and one message isn't enough.) In the 14 states that have banned physical mail, it's virtually the only option.

97% of parole-eligible people have been denied this month. The argument that this protects the public falls apart when the prison system already found 74 in this group no risk to themselves or others & sends them outside the fence to work unsupervised.

Cannot WAIT to dig into this new book by @JustinoBrooks of @CA_Innocence! If you think you’re immune from being sent to prison for something you didn’t do, you’re wrong. This is a #mustread.

Will people who work in prisons and treat people inhumane get into prison? What are offenses and who decide which ones are worse?

Ever since I got out of prison, I’be strived to live a life that I can be proud of instead of one I regret I don’t need to put a magic word in my Twitter bio for that to be true Anyone paying attention can figure it out - unless they’re being willfully ignorant
