Often when something was traditionally a woman's job, when it become accepted and considered craft/artisan/whatever it became dominated by guys. Korean craft alcohol hasn't taken off yet so maybe premature but I'm hopeful.

I'm researching about Korean alcohol (Sool) at the moment. It's still recovering from various wars and policies, but one fascinating thing is that traditionally alcohol production in Korea was a woman's job, and today many of the people pushing to reestablish are women.
