I hope this is a reminder to straight, cis people that they have a lot of power in this fight as allies. Trans folks and LGBTQ+ people have been saying all this for years and people didn't listen. People listen when a straight, cis man says it. There's a responsibility there.

I find that to gain the respect of the tech bros you just to have to be one. The more you are like them the more they think you deserve to be in that space. I've found even at tech events, tech bros won't engage you about matters tech unless you look like a tech bro
