Hi @Josie_Osborne, We have 4-5000 patients on EMG waitlists on Vancouver Island. BC is the only province to require the National EMG exam before practicing. BC removed the American Exam as sufficient. Can we get a two-year waiver on the exam?

I am truly sorry, but everyone sponsoring a parent or grandparent particularly one that will not work for at least 10 years should have to buy medical insurance forever. We are desperately failing our patients with access to care. Our healthcare is not free, we pay for it.

Many misconceptions exist about American doctors moving to Canada. In many university jobs/hospitals, Canadians can earn as much or more. Many Americans are going to smaller, more affordable cities. It is a seller's market, and doctors have significant freedoms here—no insurer's.

5. No Facetime yet. After weeks, they sent me a beautiful letter saying, yes, it is the same as say a phone call for privacy and I immediately began using Skype to call the Islands and remote areas. Change is possible for better care.

2/ Often, I have a rare diagnosis. I want to ask a colleague in Ontario or Alberta for advice. We are currently unable to offer a shared visit. A trans-border approach would allow for faster consultations in remote or even urban settings. We pay for them in person already.

Curious for the public do you think it’s fair that workers get priority access to specialists as we get paid more than double to see them within 15 days? You might wait three years. I thought we had universal access. I only do for urgent to be fair.
