Our mission is to treat every child in British Columbia that comes. Reducing surgery, casting bracing, encouraging function. @GraceALore if you limit our nurses to do sedation and staff to book patients what do we do? I fundraise for my team, but we cannot pay for staffing.
I am blessed to treat children from Across North America and in Europe with #cryoneurolysis to improve function, gait, running. @DrKindyMLA the hiring freeze is devastating our ability to treat every BC child referred. We save tens of thousands 💰 too. @GraceALore

Hi @Josie_Osborne, We have 4-5000 patients on EMG waitlists on Vancouver Island. BC is the only province to require the National EMG exam before practicing. BC removed the American Exam as sufficient. Can we get a two-year waiver on the exam?

I am truly sorry, but everyone sponsoring a parent or grandparent particularly one that will not work for at least 10 years should have to buy medical insurance forever. We are desperately failing our patients with access to care. Our healthcare is not free, we pay for it.

4. When BC introduced video conferences, they were limited to a hospital terminals. Patients and doctors had to travel to one. I wrote to @cpsbc_ca and said congratulations. However, many of my patients are remote or cannot easily travel; could we use Skype or similar?.

Thread 1/Portability is key in the Canada Health Act. BC has phenomenal Virtual Care allowances. I provide surgeons #CRPS management everywhere and do many follow ups from remote corners. Canada must extend telehealth across provinces. @CHEK_News Eg, Charleigh Pollock

Provinces smoothing the road for U.S. doctors to come to Canada but Ottawa must do more via @HealthyDebate.

We let American tech companies, EPIC, CERNER, buy our healthcare systems. Those were designed to track payments and hospital efficiency, we don’t need that in Canada. We are crazy efficient. @MarkJCarney stop foreign influence.
It’s devastating how the hiring freeze is preventing healthcare. Billions spent in electronic record transformation, thousands of unnecessary staff. As patients sleep in hallways and we can’t offer surgeries. No Clinic supports no nurses. 🇨🇦 wide, IT is a grift scam. @DrKindyMLA.

Curious for the public do you think it’s fair that workers get priority access to specialists as we get paid more than double to see them within 15 days? You might wait three years. I thought we had universal access. I only do for urgent to be fair.
So @WorkSafeBC . Tells Drs don’t bill until our staff receive your consultation and file. Because we have nothing better to do than go back and remember to bill a patient we saw last week! to WorkSafeBC | British Columbia Medical Journal
