Another thread šŸ‘‡. To say I am super proud of this paper is an understatement. I hope people read it carefully because there is so much in it. Not only are Indigenous kids overrepresented but their suspension and exclusion rates have been increasing 1/

2/ In research we talk about levels of evidence. Bennett draws on the lowest level: opinion. In my @ConversationEDU piece I linked to the highest: systematic reviews. Australian educators should familiarise themselves with these levels & who’s using them.

What a load of crap! I use and have developed standardised classroom observation measures which requires me to spend a huge amount of time in classrooms working with teachers. What’s more these are based on robust empirical evidence which is the whole point of research. 1/.
