Joel might be right. But we must commit our interpretations of Israel to NT authors’ understanding of Christ’s relationship to Israel. Paul attributed “Beloved,” a pet name for Israel, to Christ in Eph 1:6, reading Christ as true Israel. @Christ_OverAll.

In saying "in the Beloved" to the church, Paul signals that Christ is the New Israel. Digging into the original language unearths more—another beautiful layer of His identity.

Reformed Christianity has an anti-Semitism problem. No, I am not saying that all Reformed Christians are anti-Semites, but before issuing another attack on "Dispies," I'd suggest asking the deep questions as to why such an ancient wickedness is sweeping the movement.

More can be said, of course, but suffice to say, the sign of baptism suitably testifies to God’s salvific work accomplished by our Triune God which is why we’re to baptize a disciple into God’s name. fin/.

They died with Christ and were raised with him to walk in newness of life. Thus baptism as a sign signifies spiritual realities suitable and fitting only for believers who now have circumcised hearts, are Spirit indwelled, and have the Torah written on their hearts. 5/.
