Or… maybe it’s the fault of Congress for doing nothing for the last 3 decades and using immigration as a wedge issue. Presidents can’t fix immigration unilaterally. Remember when folks had a fit over DACA (which was supposed to be temporary)?
When the border was a clusterfuck under Obama, the blame was Obama’s. When it was a clusterfuck under Trump, the blame was Trump’s. It is a clusterfuck now under Biden. The blame will rightly be Biden’s. And this will continue until both sides come together to truly fix it.
