Bitcoin is down 50%. Your portfolio didn't have to be. A simple 3-strategy portfolio outperformed BTC since 2019 with 3x smaller max drawdown. Here's the portfolio (and how you can trade it too):

@PKycek Hi Pavel, read your book. I believe its one of the best introductions to algorithmic trading out there, especially for crypto. It focusses on the very basic overlying principals (eg expectation) for sucessfull algorithmic trading. Definitely worth reading!

I have been a trader for 20 years. Like many my first few years were plagued by expensive lessons. Looking back, my early struggles weren't due to lack of intelligence or effort. The problem was I was learning the wrong things from the wrong sources. The kind of misguided

What if there is a 70% drop ahead? It's amazing to me the overwhelming level of conviction people previously had that Q4 was going to be epic and the bull market will continue. Do I want that drop? No, because we'll make more in a bull market than we will in a bear market.

Returns are non-normal: - even over a large enough data pool - or a large enough horizon This may seem a bit unintuitive because of the central limit theorem. Saying "large enough data" will become normal. However, we aren't really independent here, etc., right? Interestingly
@drg00se That is correct, which over a large enough data pool and time will be the case. I live in a world of right skewed outlier trades/months. Interestingly and not surprisingly, my profitability as a career trader has been stacked by right-skewed outliers.

Your parents bought a house at 25. You can barely afford rent at 30. That's the harsh reality for millennials. Housing cost is now 5X the average annual income. College tuition tripled, while graduate earnings declined. Millennials hold just 9.4% of total U.S. wealth. Boomers

The truth is nobody knows. Nobody knows if the market is going to go up. Or down. Or sideways. The market is too complex of a system. The price of an asset is influenced by an infinite number of independent variables. And their interactions are largely unknown and constantly

After seeing Altcoins' performance: "I'll just buy Bitcoin and be done." Good decision. But not optimal. Bitcoin's returns are fading as it matures. Better decision: use Bitcoin as collateral. Trade the broader market systematically on top of it. That's the play.

This is the reality of the broader crypto market. Most tell you to just "buy-and-hold". Here's why that's wrong (and what actually works instead):

Kucoin went down today due to issues in one AWS zone in Tokyo. We use the same zone — but Robuxio stayed fully operational. Why? Our infrastructure runs across 4 availability zones. If 1 fails, 3 others can take over. Robuxio is the robust way. Trading-wise and

Always good stuff from @PKycek . He is a great resource for crypto coin trading. Keep things simple. Then multiply simplicity by creating non correlated systems. Don’t worry about the shape of the individual equity curve.
Portfolio trading 101: 1. Keep many robust strategies. Don't aim for a nice equity curve. Aim for robustness and simplicity in number of conditions. Build models based on sound ideas.
