"Those who can afford to not work during student teaching are more likely to gain licensure solely because of their socioeconomic status. Additionally, aspiring educators of color are disproportionately affected by unpaid student teaching" #teacherprep #teachereducation #teachers
Aspiring educators should not have to live in financial deficit just to gain licensure. We must invest in livable stipends for student teaching & support the next generation of educators, especially educators of color. Shout out to Elizabeth Horvat!
